One Year Later

It's been a year since we were walking into Pie Town, New Mexico all dressed up and ready for trick-or-treating. Each day we look back on the calendar and see where we were and what happened that day. Each day we grow closer to the anniversary of the accomplishment of our great adventure. For me it is so hard to believe that this trip is now part of my past and not my present. When I was on the trail I couldn’t see how a year later looking back on the trip it would make me want to be back out there re-experiencing the whole thing. Each day one of us says, “I wish we were out on the trail hiking,” or, “ So when can we re-hike the CDT?” Yes, I know it is hard to believe that we actually want to do something like that again, but we do and it brings tears to my eyes every time I look at our photos.
Only one month (a year ago) to go before the end of the 6 month adventure that changed my life it such amazing ways.
